AGM – Wednesday November 23rd 2011
The AGM is coming up on Wednesday 23rd of November at 8pm. Get there, be there and have your say.
Grand Final Weekend – Good Luck Under 8M’s, Under 11′s, Under 12M’s and Under 16′s.
After a week’s break to recuperate from a myriad of bumps, bruises and other season threatening injuries, the Belrose Under 8s Whites fronted up at Nolans No. 1 to take on Christian Brothers.
What I love about our boys is that they keep playing the game no matter what the score is.
All in all it was a tough game but our boys played their hearts out and improved their defensive skills immensely throughout the game.
To each player on the team, you individually deserve a real pat on the back and a 3 cheers from the parents and friends who came to watch this and every game each week.
The Ferret’s prevailed at the end of the day with a convincing win – however our boys put in a great effort and will be back next week soaring high!
Curl Curl kept hitting our line strongly which eventually wore our defence down and they capitalised with a try. This was to be the pattern of the first third with both teams scoring after each other.
It seemed so long ago since our red and gold U7 now U8 warriors had stepped out onto this particular bit of turf to face the mighty Narraweena blue and white team including the home crowd that always seems to turn up in large numbers.
Despite a few tips from Matt Cross of Sea Eagles fame for some of the boys before the game, and regardless of a huge effort from the whole team the valiant U8’s were pipped at the post by one try.
Even though we had lost the game the Belrose boys had won our respect, the whole team played one of their best games of the season. As parents we can all stand up and say we are proud of all our boys.
