The coach was very calm and explained to the boys that he could not question their effort, but their execution both in defence and offence needed to get back to the simple game plan that we can deliver so well. No second chances, this was it, time to get back on track.

Belrose Vs Asquith – Round 9, 2011

Belrose Vs Asquith – Round 9, 2011

Unfortunately due to the recent run of bad weather Lionel Watts was closed on Sunday and instead of a home game we were transferred to a neutral ground, Lake Park at Narrabeen for our match against the A Grade frontrunners Asquith. Whilst we put up a brave fight and were in the match for a long time we were guilty of lapses and Asquith were good enough to capitalise on them and come home 20-14 victors.

A Grade Vs Narrabeen – Sunday 5th June 2011

A Grade Vs Narrabeen – Sunday 5th June 2011

The stats don’t lie, when we control the ball we play well and we did this across both halves. This together with our tireless defence and good kicking game eventually grinds teams into submission and this was the case on Sunday. Narrabeen ran out of petrol and we rolled over them. Firstly Chris Lowe scored after 8 minutes which Brandon converted and then in the 24th minute Brandon was over again and converted his own try for a 22-6 victory.

A Grade Vs Asquith – Sunday 22nd May 2011

A Grade Vs Asquith – Sunday 22nd May 2011

Not a great result for us against Asquith last Sunday at Storey Park. There were big expectations with the return of our skipper Jimmy Curtis from injury and our good form in the previous two weekends.

Unfortunately the result didn’t go our way. We were well in the game at halftime but capitulated in the second half to suffer a heavy defeat at the hands of the Magpies losing 40-12.
